YES! Apples can harm you in many ways. But how?
Having apple juice has both positive and negative effects on the body.
It contains lots of minerals and nutrients and various other essentials elements that our body needs but it also has a few things which can harm our body.
These are few research proven effects that Apple has on the human body:
Taking too much of apples can be harmful as apples contain a high content of fructose. Fructose is only used in the liver, unlike glucose. In the liver, it produces fats called triglycerides, which can lead to heart diseases. Excess consumption of apples can also lead to excess fructose in the body, which can cause several health problems like diabetes and obesity.
2. Damage your brain:
A study which was published in the December 2012 edition of the Journal of Environmental Health has shown that 32 percent of the fruit juices tested had unacceptable arsenic levels thereby chronic exposure to arsenic can damage your brain and heart and can also lead to as cancer.
3. Bacterial toxicity:
The side effects of drinking lots of apple juice can also include toxicity from bacterial contamination. The scientists have shown that the Strains like Alicyclobacillus continue to cause problems for juice makers, according to a February 2019 report in the Fresenius Environmental Journal.
Apple juice can cause allergic reactions. a study which was published on March 2014 in the Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture said that about 7 percent of adults and 12 percent of children have a fruit allergy and that nearly 9 percent of the latter group reacts specifically to apples.
A substance known as Mal d 1 triggers this reaction and is responsible for the allergic reactions in humans. It is better to decrease the risk my choosing low Mal d 1 like the Santana, Pinova, and Elise. In contrast, you should avoid apples with high Mal d 1 like the Golden Delicious.
5.Cause Acid reflex:
As the apple contain high amount of acidic substance. It is better to neutalise it by using the alkaline foods. It is advice that apples should be avoided before going to bed as they may aggravate the acid reflex. The American College of Gastroenterology recommends not eating for two to three hours before bedtime.
6. Can aggravate fructose intolerance:
As already mentioned above that apple are rich in fructose contents. few people also have difficulty digesting the main sugar in fruit — fructose. This condition is called fructose intolerance. This condition affects about 1 in 130,000 people, according to a May 2013 paper in the Journal of Nutrition and Metabolism. The people who are having this condition should me avoid having this fruit.

This is not always true when coming to this fruit. Apart from the various health benefits, there are few harmful side effects of the having this fruit in excess amount, that include cardiac risk, brain damage, acid reflex, and even diabetics development in human. Taking a limited quantity of this fruit can prevent these health hazards.
