How Much Coffee You Can Safely Drink?
If you are feeling bit drowsy or felling bit jittery, perhaps the first thought in your mind would be, have a hot coffee in a comfortable place! It would revitalize your brain and helps to keep your stamina up again.
But did you ever think what is the maximum amount of coffee you can safely drink !!

Coffee helps to boost the energy when consumed this is due to the effect of the caffeine content in it but many have the common doubt about how much coffee should one consume.
As it is always said many thing excesses can be dangerous to the body. Drinking coffee more than 6 cups can exceed the caffeine content that the body can accommodate.
A research done by the University of South Australia, published in March 2019 in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition had shown that heavy coffee consumption was associated with a modest increase in CVD risk. and concluded saying the magic number that pushes coffee to a point is six.
The findings have shown that once you have reached the target number of six in daily consumption of coffee, your chances of getting cardiac risk increased to about 22 percentage. That is a lot of health risk compared to any!!
More specifically the study confirms that this is the point in which excess caffeine causes high blood pressure – a precursor to heart disease.
This study on the long term effects of coffee consumption in relation to cardiovascular disease was headed by UniSA researchers Dr. Ang Zhou and Professor Elina Hyppönen of the Australian Centre for Precision Health.
The research was conducted with a pool of 347,077 participants aged between 37 and 73 years-old. “An estimated three billion cups of coffee are enjoyed every day around the world,” Prof Hyppönen adds.
“Knowing the limits of what’s good for you and what’s not is imperative. As with many things, it’s all about moderation; overindulge and your health will pay for it.”
According to the World Health Organization, cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death, yet one of the most preventable.
Though there was another study which was released on In May 2019, a study published in the journal Heart made headlines after suggesting that drinking up to 25 cups of coffee in a day doesn’t have an impact on the stiffness of your arteries.
Though these two studies are quite contradictory, it is better to limit any sort of diet we consume.
It is always better to have anything in a moderate and a limited ratio and the same rule comes when having your favorite energy-boosting drink coffee. The new research has shown that excess coffee can cause serious health issues like cardiovascular diseases ( heart attack and increased blood pressure). The study has limited the limit to the uptake of the coffee to maximum six and anything above can cause fatal effects when taken in the long term.
